In my first stint at Sears Holdings, I was the lead creative on GameOn and created it's branding and original iteration. When i returned as a Design Principal, I was tasked with helping to reformulate the UX of the site to be responsive and through that process, create a design system that could be implemented on other associate facing applications.
GameOn is similar to fantasy sports site in that there are TONS of metrics and many ways to filter and sort those metrics. My goal was to create design systems and interaction patterns that would allow the site to become responsive with ALL the current functionality intact. Even on devices as small as a phone. To that end, using a mobile first approach was key.
I then worked on guiding the design with a careful eye towards the implications and potential conflicts it would have on other Sears holdings products we wanted to build consistency with.
